Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the The Cue mobile app, how we use it, and what your rights are. The Cue is developed by CrimsonGlobe.

Data We Collect

  • Account information: your email address and, when you use Sign in with Google / Apple, the identifier provided by that provider.
  • Game data: your username, the rooms you create or join, and in-game activity (clues, votes, results).
  • Device & usage data: device model, OS version, app version, and crash/error logs.
  • Advertising identifiers: the advertising ID used for personalized ads (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) — only when you allow it.

How We Use Data

  • To run the game, manage your session, and match players.
  • To fix bugs, analyze crashes, and improve the app.
  • To show ads in the app and, if you allow it, personalize them.
  • To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

Third-Party Services

We use the following providers to deliver the service. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Google Firebase (Crashlytics): crash and error reporting.
  • Google AdMob: in-app advertising.
  • Sign in with Google: authentication.
  • Sign in with Apple and Game Center: authentication and game services (iOS).

Advertising & Tracking

On iOS, we ask for your permission through App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before showing personalized ads that may involve cross-app tracking. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalized. You can change your preferences at any time — see Privacy Choices.

Data Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Room and game state is stored only temporarily to operate the game. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period.

Children's Privacy

The Cue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us.

Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, use the Privacy Choices page or email us.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
